Koda 2 vs Volt 2: start with where you cook

Updated October 3, 2026 · Manufacturer-based guide; not a hands-on review.

The short answer

Choose the outdoor gas route if you have an approved outdoor cooking area and want that setup. Consider the indoor electric route if your priority is cooking inside. Neither is a universal winner.

What actually differs

Koda 2 is an outdoor gas oven for pizzas up to 14 inches. Volt 2 is an indoor electric model for 12-inch pizzas. The manufacturer’s Canadian reference prices were $649 and $949 respectively when checked on October 3, 2026.

Compare the whole setup

Count the oven, a compatible peel, the surface it sits on and any required fuel or electrical setup. Check exactly what is included. Do not choose an oven based on an accessory in a lifestyle photo.

Two useful scenarios

An apartment cook with no approved outdoor gas area should first investigate a permitted indoor electric setup. A cook with an appropriate yard setup may prefer gas. These are buying scenarios, not personal test results.

Before you decide

Measure your space, read the exact model manual, check your building’s rules and confirm current Canadian stock. Stock messages on retailer pages can conflict; the selected variant and checkout provide the final answer.
